Approach

At the heart of my counselling practice is the belief that healing and growth flourish within a safe, collaborative, and trusting therapeutic relationship. I am committed to creating a non-judgemental space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. Guided by person-centred principles, my work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.

I draw on an eclectic blend of evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices—tailored to each client’s unique preferences, experiences, values, needs, and goals. This personalised, client-guided, and strengths-based approach is designed to empower, affirm, and honour each individual’s journey.

Experience

I hold a Master of Counselling (Honours) from Monash University and am a Certified Practising registered member of PACFA. Most recently, I worked at Project Hope (Salvation Army), where I provided counselling services to individuals seeking to chart new pathways forward after longstanding struggles with trauma, abuse, addiction, and other complex life challenges.

Alongside my counselling qualifications, I bring a broad professional background that informs my work with clients across a range of life experiences. I have held senior roles in fast-paced international environments, including project management and business development in Silicon Valley. After relocating to Australia, I transitioned into managing a medical practice within a hospital-based rehabilitation setting, where I developed a deep understanding of patient care, complex health needs, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

I have also been actively involved in youth-focused community organisations for over a decade. As a Child Protection Officer and board member, I’ve supported the social and emotional wellbeing of children and adolescents involved in elite-level sports.

These varied roles have deepened my understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges people face—whether in the context of work, relationships, life transitions, or trauma. I bring this insight to my counselling practice, along with a strong commitment to providing an emotionally safe, inclusive, and respectful space for all clients.
