Martin Strom

Psychologist
Experience: Over 10 years
I want to help clients discover their limiting beliefs and behaviours that are not conducive to their well-being.

Approach

My approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), paired with mindfulness and self-compassion. I have worked extensively with leaders and staff in work-life settings, helping them perform in a way that is balanced and conducive to well-being.

Experience

I have worked for over ten years both with clients in individual therapy and with groups as an organizational psychologist, including leaders of many large companies. I have worked mainly with mindfulness-based interventions and CBT. I am also the author of several books on how to use mindfulness to foster focus, self-awareness, and increase wellbeing.

Media

  • Martin gave a talk at the Happiness And Its Causes conference in Sydney (2025) exploring AI as a mirror for humanity. Drawing on contemplative wisdom, psychology, and the Sixfold Matrix of Mental Balance, he examines how AI might help us perceive reality with greater clarity, if we bring wisdom and conscious intention to the encounter.
  • Martin also co-hosts the Mindful AI Podcast with Nathalie Heynderickx, where they interview leading experts in artificial intelligence to explore how AI can be developed ethically, promote human values, and enhance well-being and flourishing.
  • Martin offers free guided meditations on SoundCloud, including evidence-based mindfulness practices from CBT as well as contemplative practices from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition such as settling the mind in its natural state and loving-kindness.
