Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Our Approaches: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
What is Psychodynamic Therapy?
In psychodynamic therapy, therapists help people gain insight into their lives and present-day problems.
The primary focus of psychodynamic therapy is on unconscious processes as they appear in the client’s current behaviour. Psychodynamic treatment aims to increase the client’s self-awareness and comprehension of how the past affects current behaviour. In its simplest form, a psychodynamic method allows the client to look at unresolved issues and signs that result from previous dysfunctional relationships and show themselves as a need or desire to take drugs.
